Prue has been involved in operational and strategic management in aged and community care for a ‘number’ of years! A nurse by trade, Prue’s post graduate studies were in Human Resource and Industrial Relations, with a particular focus towards organisational culture and change management.
She loves variety and her roles have incorporated training and development, leadership and management of multiple aged care facilities and community care packages, culture change and project management of the development and commissioning of new facilities. Prue has received state and national recognition for leadership and management within the aged care sector and is currently managing the implementation of electronic documentation and medication management systems for a private organisation and continues to liaise broadly with ‘for profit’ and ‘not for profit’ providers.
Prue hopes The Lantern Project will achieve the following goals;
- Endorsement of ‘fresh is best’ and promotion of locally and Australian grown products
- Reduction in the need for commercial nutrition supplements
- Promotion of more flexible meal/snack times
- Ability to create individual preference options through the use of ‘fresh food bars’ eg fresh fruit and salads.
